DESCRIPTION: This is a beautiful example of a horseshoe crab fossil derived from the world-famous Solnhofen limestone of Eichstatt, Germany.
This fossil is well-situated upon the matrix in the dorsal posture and is well-expanded, complete and large. A death track extends along much the length of the tail spine (telson). The prosoma (head) and carapace are well-defined, and the preparation is superb. This is an excellent specimen for the collector which combines both scientific rarity with distinguished preparator skill.
