DESCRIPTION: This is a gorgeous example of the heteromorph ammonite Audiloceras, acquired from the Volga River region of Russia.  The original matrix has been left in its natural rugged state, with much of the ammonite exposed, giving rise to a specimen with great depth and eye appeal. This specimen is beautifully intact and exhibits a great balance of  opalescent mother-of-pearl with underlying pyritization.  A great show specimen, not to be missed!
